<reviewbody>I would like to draw attention to this matrix. It's very well done...I've heard matrixes where it sounds you have reverb on everything because the two recordings are not perfectly in sync (your ear can detect if it's off even 1/1000's of a second), and this matrix does not have that problem. Also, the ratio of sbd/audio seems perfect to me. On one hand it has that 'it's--like-you're-actually-there' feel, but the music is finally loud and clear too. In my experience as a listener, that balance is hard to find...so hard for me, in fact, that I can't really tolerate very many pure audience recordings...Anyway...It's a great concert...About as vibrant as 1978 gets (4/24 and 12/31 are my other favorites from the year)...A highlight for me is '>wharf rat> franklin's tower'. I've been on a bit of a GD bender the last few weeks, so excuse me if I sound delerious...</reviewbody>

<reviewbody>I have always felt that this show never quite got the raves it deserves. Outside of the killer 2nd set and three encores to boot, the overall energy of this show is phenominal. As far as the recording goes, I have never heard a show that has Bob in the mix as clear as this one does. Anyone who doubts Bob's importance as a musician to this band has not heard this show. It is a must have!!!!!!!</reviewbody>

<reviewbody>Man, there is something about this show. The thin air must've gone to their heads or somethin'. Donna is great here. Bobby is also kills it. Not something written all that often. They sound like it's a party and everything's hitting them just right. Bobby's freaky slide experiments somehow keep paying off, and Donna is keeps flying off the handle and for some reason it sounds very right. Not to mention her back and forth with Garcia on Werewolves : oh yeah? yeah? awwww! It even sounds cool that Jerry's voice is all horse and rough. Sometimes it all comes together...</reviewbody>
